Undies for Everyone

Undies for Everyone provides children living in poverty or crisis with new underwear, recognizing the importance of this small basic need as part of a child's increased chances of long-term success. It was founded in 2012 by Rabbi Amy Weiss, right here in Houston, and has since provided more than 5 million pairs of undies to kids all over the US.

How do FVL volunteers help? Undies for Everyone have a special place in our hearts as our first local community partner. We visit the UfE warehouse every month, packing a week's worth of undies in each kit, sorted by size and gender, ready to be shipped out wherever they're needed. This is a fun activity which is suitable for all ages.

Feed the City | Tango Charities

1 in 8 Americans face hunger every day, including more than 12 million children and 5 million seniors. Tango Charities is focused on feeding, educating and empowering communities through healthy and nutritious food. They've been working on hunger initiatives for over a decade, delivering over 7 million meals to partner organizations across the globe.

How do FVL volunteers help? We love Tango Charities Feed the City events. We bring our own food supplies (they provide a list) and form an assembly line to make sandwiches and pack them with chips, fruit and a treat for a yummy lunch meal. Everyone pitches in to see which table can make the most sandwiches! This is a fun activity which is suitable for all ages. Be aware, it can get messy but that's part of the fun!
